First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation with Dr. Saar Amrani, where he will explain your diagnosis as well as the treatment options available. After the evaluation, you will be able to schedule an appointment for your surgery. Depending upon the circumstance and availability you may be able to schedule your surgery on the day of your evaluation.

On the day of your evaluation please have ready the following information, if applicable.

  • – Your surgical referral slip and any X-rays if applicable
  • – A list of medications you are presently taking
  • – A list of drug allergies

Please bring with you the necessary, completed medical or dental registration forms. This will save you time in our office. These forms are available to be downloaded directly from our website.

All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit and surgery appointments.

Patients undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery:
• Require a pre-operative consultation and evaluation.
• May not eat or drink for 8 hours prior to your appointment.
• Should have a responsible driver or someone, to drive or accompany you home.

We have complete digital radiographic capability. Your dentist or physician can forward the images to us electronically or have them mailed. It is common that additional radiographs will be required at the initial visit.

Saturday CLOSED

It is our aim to schedule surgeries in the morning and consultations in the afternoon, depending on the situation we could always make the necessary arrangements. Your appointment will be scheduled as quickly as possible. We strive to stay on schedule to minimize your wait, but due to the fact that King’s Highway Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery provides surgical services, we do treat emergency cases and unexpected delays may occur. We appreciate your understanding and patience if this were to occur.

We always have a variety of financial options available for you. Feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns regarding any aspect of your care with our office. Please bring any insurance information you may have to your consultation so that we can ensure reimbursement is received in a timely manner.

For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Payment is due at the time service is rendered. Please contact us with any questions regarding your account.

Patient is responsible for all fees incurred in the office. Any service not covered by insurance will be at the responsibility of the patient.
You will receive a monthly statement. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment. Most insurance companies make payment within 4-6 weeks. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. We appreciate your timely remittance.

Before Surgery (Intravenous Anesthesia)

  • – Do not eat or drink (including water) for eight (8) hours prior to the surgery appointment.
    - If you normally take any medication in the morning, then please do so with a sip of water
    – A responsible adult must accompany the patient to the office, remain in the office during the procedure, and drive or accompany the patient home.
    – Do not smoke before and after surgery.
    – Do not drive a vehicle or operate any machinery for 24 hours after any procedure.
    – Wear loose fitting clothing, sleeves should be able to be rolled past the elbow.
    – All contact lenses, jewelry, and dentures should be removed prior to surgery.
    – Inform the office of any illness you may have such as a cold, sore throat, stomach or upset bowels.
    – Please inform the office of all current medications.
